Role overview:
The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will lead the scoping, requirements gathering, planning, gap analysis, process and functionality improvements for the Establish sustainable DevSecOps practices programme to drive achievement of a future proof "security by design" practice that ensures secure software and service development at the speed and agility that the business requires.
Accountabilities:
- Support the Establish sustainable DevSecOps practices project team in understanding business needs and opportunities, assessing options and potential benefits.
- Identify stakeholders and their business needs. Work with them to understand problems, define scope, identify process impacts, explore options and assess feasibility. Seek regular feedback from stakeholders so that requirements can be approved or updated.
- Elicit, analyse, challenge, prioritise and document requirements to enable development of the E2E business solution.
- Work in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose, cost effective and maintain or improve customer experience/operational performance.
- Capture and track the delivery of the requirements within the proposed solution.
- Ensure user experience is at the forefront of design and implementation of required changes.
- Working with Project Managers to draft/execute project and communication plans.
Skills and experiences needed:
- Be a self-starter with a strong track record of analysis assignments across a diverse range of projects.
- Experience in using Jira, Confluence
- Extensive expertise in breaking down problems, creating options and assessing feasibility.
- Strong experience in building and sustaining effective and trusted relationships at all levels up to Director.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from senior management to the end users. Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner, using appropriate language and terminology.
- Experience in using applicable tools and techniques to define and/or improve processes and procedures
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and project delivery lifecycle methodologies
Essential:
- Good commercial awareness
- Good organisational awareness
- Demonstrable Knowledge of project delivery
- processes, eg Agile or Waterfall
- Demonstrable (provide example use cases) Business
- Analysis experience
Nice to have:
- Telecoms experience
- Knowledge of DevOps practices

- Knowledge of Security principles and practices
